Behind The Unlucky Coeliac

Hi my name is Leanne, and I am the unlucky coeliac! I live in Birmingham, UK and I have Coeliac Disease. I also suffer with Joint Hypermobility Syndrome and Fibromyalgia hence the unlucky part…

So why am I doing this blog? I have had blogs in the past, my most recent one was more music based and led to meeting some amazing people and allowed me to review for the webzine 3 Songs and Out. That blog is still live, I will link it below, but I have found getting older and finding out I’m coeliac my life has lost touch with music being the my main focus.

A few questions you might have, answered;

Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal? – From my own experience I have learnt more about my illnesses from other, it felt great knowing I wasn’t alone and things were normal that I was going through

Who would you love to connect with via your blog? – Anyone and everyone, I believe being as interactive with each other is more important than the blog itself.

If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished? – I hope to raise awareness about Coeliac Disease, JHS and Fibromyalgia. I also hope to have helped those going through what I have.

Well… That’s me in a nutshell really, I hope this helps bridge the gap and you enjoy what’s to come in the future! As promised below is the link to my previous blog Music n What Not.

I’m you’re average 20-something year old who just happens to have Coeliac Disease, Fibromyalgia and Severe Hypermobility Syndrome. Blogging has been a passion of mine since I was 14 years old, and I made the transition in 2019 away from music to something a little more personal. Which is how I became The Unlucky Coeliac!
